Ghana Tax ID Number (TIN) Guide

In Ghana, the Tax Identification Number (TIN) is a unique identifier issued by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to individuals and entities for tax purposes. From April 1, 2021, the Ghana Card Personal Identification Number (PIN) has replaced the traditional TIN for individuals, streamlining the identification process across various government services. This unified approach enhances efficiency and ensures compliance with tax regulations.

All information provided herein is sourced directly from the official Ghana Revenue Authority website and other trusted government publications, ensuring 100% accuracy and reliability.

Tax Identification Number Types

Individual TIN

For individuals, the Ghana Card PIN serves as the TIN. This PIN is used for all tax-related transactions and other legal activities requiring identification, such as opening a bank account, registering a vehicle, or applying for a passport. Ghana Revenue Authority
